NFL 2025: Player Performance Best Bets Over/Under – NFC East

Philadelphia Eagles

In 2024, Barkley rushed for 2,005 yards. The only thing that prevented him from breaking Eric Dickerson’s single-season rushing record was that the Eagles sat him in the final game so he’d be rested for the playoffs.

With those numbers, an over-under of 1400.5 rushing yards might seem insanely low. But they have a better backup in 2025 with A.J. Dillon than they did in 2024 with Kenneth Gainwell. Dillon was never a feature back with the Packers, but he shared the duties with Aaron Jones.

He is no threat to Barkley, but to keep Barkley fresh as the Eagles strive to repeat, could they use their star back less? A lower workload or an injury are the only possible ways in which Barkley would fall below 1400.5 yards.

He will pass that number easily.

Washington Commanders

The Commanders’ offense is in flux. Wide receiver Terry McLaurin is holding out for a new contract. Their leading running back in 2024, Brian Robinson Jr., was traded to the 49ers. Samuel had fallen out of favor with the 49ers and was dropping a lot of catchable passes.

Is a fresh start what he needs to return to his 2021 All-Pro form?

Kliff Kingsbury’s spread offense and Jayden Daniels gaining experience in his second year should help them reach another level.

Samuel has only surpassed 60 catches once in his career. Was that because of him, Kyle Shanahan’s West Coast offense, or his penchant for drops that kept his catches low?

In his first year with a new team, he’ll want to have a big season. That should add up to more than 60.5 catches.

Dallas Cowboys

Pickens spent the first three seasons of his career with the Steelers. His relatively low number of catches could easily be blamed on a conservative offense, but he was targeted more than 100 times in 2023 and 2024.

Was it quarterbacking? Drops?

Certainly, Pickens did not have the caliber of passer in Pittsburgh catching balls from Kenny Pickett, Justin Fields, and an aging Russell Wilson that he does with the Cowboys and Dak Prescott throwing to him. He tends to pout when he doesn’t get the ball. He disappeared for long stretches, testing Pittsburgh’s patience to the point where they dumped him for a 3rd round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft and a 5th round pick in 2027.

In Dallas, he has no choice but to share the ball with CeeDee Lamb and accept that Lamb is the #1 option. Perhaps that will spur some good-natured competition between the two and lead to a career season from Pickens.

New York Giants

The Giants have been justifiably mocked over the past few seasons, but they are finally amassing legitimate talent. Thibodeaux is entering his fourth season and will have a strong supporting cast with Abdul Carter, Brian Burns, and Dexter Lawrence chasing QBs along with him.

Thibodeaux had 5.5 sacks in 12 games in 2024. In 2023, he had 11.5 sacks in 17 games. With the Giants’ improved defense, Thibodeaux cannot be the focus, which should lead to more sacks. Going beyond 6.5 should not be a problem.

2025 NFL Player Performance NFC East Over-Under Best Bets

The NFC East could be surprisingly competitive if the Cowboys get Micah Parsons in camp and Prescott proves he’s healthy. More competition could mean better performance from star players. Even the Giants have some positive signs.
