Event Preview
The traditional season-ending event for players on the ATP Tour is scheduled for the end of November, as the Davis Cup Finals will be staged.
Also known as the Final 8, the remaining nations will compete in best-of-three clashes, beginning with the quarterfinals. The brackets have already been set, with defending champions Italy taking on Austria. Italy will not have Jannik Sinner in contention for the tournament, but the talented roster still includes Lorenzo Musetti and Matteo Berrettini.
France vs. Belgium is one of the most interesting quarterfinal showdowns. However, France should prove too strong, as the third-ranked nation could collide with Italy in the final four.
Spain will be boosted as they will have Carlos Alcaraz in their squad. However, they will still have an uphill challenge against a talented Czech Republic outfit in the quarterfinal stage.
Argentina are the only non-European nation in the finals, and they could find life too testing in singles competition against Germany. The Germans have a strong squad, including Alexander Zverev, and doubles specialists Kevin Krawietz and Tim Putz.
Davis Cup Finals Picks
A strong renewal of the Davis Cup Finals is set for Italy this year. However, the defending champions could lose their grip on the title. The Czech Republic look to have the deepest squad for the event, and they could upset the odds to win the Davis Cup for the fourth time.
