Athletic Club vs. Sporting

Athletic Club’s performances in the Champions League have improved across their last three, taking five points over that period.

However, Sporting have excelled in Europe, despite regularly being overlooked in the betting.

The Portuguese club have won four of their seven games, and a win could seal a memorable finish in the top eight. Based on their attacking intent, they are worth chancing at the odds this week.

Monaco vs. Juventus

AS Monaco have been a big disappointment in the Champions League this season, but they could yet secure a playoff round finish.

The French club were hammered 6-1 by Real Madrid last week, ending their four-game unbeaten run.

However, the increased pressure will be on the talented Italian visitors, as Juventus chase a fourth straight European win. Confidence levels will be high following an excellent 3-0 win over Napoli on Sunday.  

PSG vs. Newcastle

Arguably, one of the standout clashes on the final matchday will be a winner-take-all showdown between Newcastle and PSG.

The Premier League club have struggled on the road throughout the season, and they have already lost in France this season. PSG are the reigning European champions, and only a victory will secure their spot in the top eight following defeats in two of their last four.

PSG’s knack of delivering a high-quality performance when needed will see them get over the line.

Dortmund vs. Inter Milan

Inter Milan bounced back from their poor showing against Arsenal last week with a dominant domestic win on Saturday.

However, it is alarming that they have now lost their last three in the Champions League.

Borussia Dortmund have historically been one of the best home teams in the competition, and only a win will keep their slim hopes of a top-eight finish alive on Wednesday. We like their chances of claiming maximum points.

Eintracht Frankfurt vs. Tottenham

Tottenham have underperformed domestically throughout the 2025-26 season, but they have excelled in the Champions League.

Spurs have won three of their last four in Europe, and they could yet end the opening round as high as third in the standings.

Eintracht Frankfurt have underperformed in Europe, while they are winless in three domestic games since the turn of the year. An away win makes plenty of appeal on Wednesday.
