The Sky aim to regroup after a tough road loss in Washington

Chicago has struggled recently, to say the least. After a 3-1 start, the team from the Windy City has dropped its last five games. This painful stretch includes a 90-72 road loss to the Washington Mystics on Tuesday night.

The Sky trailed by seven at halftime. But Washington pulled away for good in the third, outscoring Chicago by a 27-18 margin on its way to an easy 18-point win.

Offensively, Sydney Taylor led the way with a team-high 15 points on 6-for-13 shooting from the field. Sklyar Diggins added 14, and Kamilla Cardoso finished with 12 points, 13 boards, six blocks, and five assists.

Unfortunately, the balanced scoring effort wasn't enough to overcome Washington's 46-29 advantage on the boards and a 20-10 edge in made free throws.

Connecticut searches for a spark following a fourth-quarter collapse against the Dream

The Sun have endured their fair share of pain as well. After an 80-78 win against Seattle on May 20, they suffered four defeats in their last five games. Their latest setback was a 91-75 loss to the Atlanta Dream.

Connecticut kept it close for most of the evening, trailing by just three points at the end of the third. However, the road team was outscored 23-10 in the final frame as Atlanta seized control down the stretch.

Aneesah Morrow powered the offense with a 20-point, 13-rebound effort, going 7-for-12 from the field. Saniya Rivers and Leila Lacan added 11 points each, while Olivia Nelson-Ododa scored 10 points off the bench.

Sky vs Sun WNBA Pick

Despite its five-game skid, Chicago enters this showdown as a 7.5-point favorite. Here's a look at what you need to know for both teams ahead of this contest.

  • The Sky are 0-5 (SU) in their previous five games.
  • Chicago is 1-4 ATS in its last five outings.
  • The Sun are 1-4 (SU) in their previous five contests.
  • Connecticut is 1-4 ATS in its last five matchups.

The Sky are 2-3 in the previous five encounters in this series. Meanwhile, Connecticut is 1-4 in its last five road games. Given both teams’ recent struggles, Chicago’s home‑court advantage and slightly steadier offensive production give the Sky a narrow edge in this Eastern Conference matchup.
