The Tempo and Lynx meet this week in an exciting clash. Toronto is red-hot and playing much better than expected for an expansion team. They will look to keep their early success going in Minnesota.

Toronto won back-to-back games for the first time in team history this past week, both wins coming on the road. They were led by Brittney Sykes, who struggled offensively to start the season despite playing excellent defense. She shed her offensive issues in the past two games, scoring 69 points on 20-40 shooting. Marina Mabrey also made an impact in the wins, adding 44 points. The pair looks to add another win in Minnesota.
The Lynx dropped to 2-2 in following their defeat to the Sky, but remain competitive in each matchup despite still being without Napheesa Collier. Minnesota has been doing a good job of keeping up in her absence, but they also certainly miss her presence. They enter this game against the Tempo with an 0-2 record at home, hoping to halt the new expansion team's momentum and get their home crowd its first victory of the season.
The Tempo enter this game as the underdogs, despite their hot streak. They have played one of the easiest schedules so far, with their combined opponents' record being 7-14, but the recent play of Brittney Sykes cannot be overlooked. As long as she is averaging more than 25 points per game, Toronto will be a tough team to beat. It should come down to the wire, but I'd suggest playing the hot hand over a Phee-less Lynx.
