Tulsa and Auburn meet in an exciting NIT Championship Game. The Tigers were right on the cusp of making the tournament and played a battle-tested schedule. They're the favorite over 30-win Tulsa.

Tulsa managed to stop red-hot New Mexico in the NIT Semifinals, winning by five points to earn a spot in the NIT Championship. The Golden Hurricane notched their 30th victory of the season, their first time doing so in over 25 years. They will aim to carry that momentum into a title game against a tested Auburn squad. Top scorer David Green will need to bounce back after averaging fewer than 10 ppg across his last four games.

Auburn had one of the best resumes amongst the teams that missed the NCAA Tournament, being left out due to their 17-16 record. Now 21-16, the Tigers are a game away from winning the NIT and proving their doubters wrong. They had little trouble in a 22-point blowout win over Illinois State but face a tougher challenge in the finals against Tulsa. Keyshawn Hall will attempt to repeat his 24-point result from the semis.
Tulsa and Auburn are both capable teams that earned four impressive wins on the way to this NIT Title Game. The Tigers have a notable advantage in the metrics, ranking twenty spots higher than the Golden Hurricane. Additionally, the cold streak of Tulsa's leading-scorer is a rough contrast to Hall's recent play. Take Auburn.
