The Spurs trailed by a point (33-32) after the first quarter. However, the home team outscored its opponent by 26 points over the next three frames en route to a dominant 25-point win.
Victor Wembanyama was one of six players to reach double figures for San Antonio. He finished with 29 points, eight rebounds, and four blocked shots. De'Aaron Fox scored 20 points and handed out 10 assists on 9-for-15 shooting from the field.
Boston looks to extend its win streak to three games
After a 29-point loss to Charlotte, the Celtics have won two straight, including a 109-98 victory against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday afternoon.
Boston led by nine points after one and extended its advantage to 20 points (56-36) at halftime. The Cavaliers got within eight in the fourth quarter before Payton Pritchard knocked down a 3-pointer and added back-to-back buckets, enabling the Celtics to hold on for a double-digit win.
Jaylen Brown scored a team-high 23 points, snagged nine boards, and handed out eight assists. Jayson Tatum finished with 20 points on 6-for-16 shooting from the floor.
