All eyes will be on one of the most prestigious events on the WTA Tour from the end of June, as the Wimbledon Championships get underway.

The grass courts present a slightly different proposition to the players involved, as they will need to deal with unpredictable ball movements, as well as having the mentality to adjust to weather delays.

The latest odds and our pick to be the Women’s Wimbledon outright winner can be found here.

Women’s Wimbledon Outright Winner Contenders

Aryna Sabalenka

Aryna Sabalenka will be a red-hot favorite to win the Wimbledon title this summer. The Belarusian star has been one of the most dominant in Grand Slam events, reaching at least the final in five majors since the start of 2023.

However, her record at the All England Club would pose concerns, as she is yet to reach a Wimbledon final, losing in semi-finals in 2021 and 2023.

Elena Rybakina

Elena Rybakina hasn’t enjoyed the best year on the WTA Tour this year. She has exited the Australian and French Opens in the fourth rounds, and is yet to reach the heights that she scaled when winning Wimbledon in 2022.

But, the grass surface is her preferred terrain, reaching quarterfinals and semi-finals at the All England Club since winning the Slam. However, her recent form would be a concern.

Iga Swiatek

Iga Swiatek’s quest for a fourth straight French Open success ended in the semi-final stage at the hands of Sabalenka earlier this month. Many questioned her form before the tournament, but she has now reached the final four in both majors this season.

Her form wouldn’t be a concern for me. Instead, it is her ability to transfer her clay performances onto the grass. Swiatek is yet to better her quarterfinal showing at Wimbledon in 2023.

Women’s Wimbledon Outright Winner Pick

Outsiders have an excellent record at Wimbledon, meaning it could be worth overlooking a lot of the top players based on the current odds.

Ons Jabeur catches the eye. The grass court specialist has reached the final in two of the last three years at Wimbledon. However, Amanda Anisimova may be a contender who could outperform her odds.

The American has also excelled at the HSBC Championship ahead of Wimbledon this summer, and she enjoyed a deep run to the quarterfinal stage at the All England Club in 2022. Her recent Slam performances suggest that a bold showing is likely back on her preferred surface.
