- Pressure eased on Thomas Frank following a UCL win on Wednesday
- Man City could move to within a point of Arsenal on Sunday
The featured match of the Premier League weekend is set for Feb 1, as Man City bid to cut into Arsenal’s title advantage when they travel to Tottenham.
Pep Guardiola’s side have bounced back to form this week after recording successive 2-0 wins over Wolves and Galatasaray.
Tottenham eased the pressure on Thomas Frank with a midweek win over Eintracht Frankfurt, but Spurs remain 14th after losing two of their last three in the EPL.

Title-Chasing City Chasing Successive Wins
Pep Guardiola looked more relaxed in midweek, as City recorded a second straight win without conceding.
One of the most pleasing aspects of their win over Galatasaray was the fact that Erling Haaland was back among the goals after a mini drought by his lofty standards. Antoine Semenyo has been an inspired winter signing by the club, netting in last weekend’s win over Wolves to take his tally to five goals in his last eight.
However, it would be a slight concern that Guardiola has suffered more career defeats against Tottenham (8) than against any other side.

The pressure on Thomas Frank was eased slightly in midweek, as Tottenham claimed an important 2-0 win on the road against Eintracht Frankfurt.
However, replicating that level of performance in the Premier League is now their big challenge. Spurs have suffered defeats in two of their last three, which leaves them just eight points above the drop zone with huge fixtures against Man United, Newcastle, and Arsenal to come after this weekend.
Home form has been a major issue throughout the campaign, with Frank winning just four of his last 22 in the Premier League.

Tottenham vs. Man City Picks
Man City have a poor recent record against Tottenham, conceding six in the last three. However, with the increased stakes this Sunday, Guardiola’s side should rise to the occasion. Their chances are only made stronger by Tottenham’s inability to pick up wins in their home fixtures.
