Aston Villa look like a standout chance to achieve Champions League qualification this season. However, the progress made under Unai Emery is likely to be judged on whether he can end the team’s long wait for a major honor.

Tottenham already have an outside chance of finishing in the Champions League spots this season. Therefore, Thomas Frank’s long-term hopes of keeping his job could hinge on winning major silverware.
Tottenham’s form throughout the campaign has been inconsistent, and their home record is a major concern. Spurs have won just two of their ten matches in North London, suffering five defeats.
Scoring goals in home fixtures has been a notable issue, averaging just 1.2 per game. Interestingly, Tottenham have progressed to at least the fourth round of the FA Cup in every season since 2013-14.

Progress has undeniably been made under Unai Emery, and the club could be on the verge of securing a second Champions League finish in three seasons in 2025-26.
However, this campaign could present the club with their best chance to win silverware. They remain in contention in the Europa League. Villa haven’t won a major honor since the League Cup in 1996, and they have underperformed in the FA Cup throughout modern history.
Villa reached the semi-finals of the competition last season, ending a run of third-round exits in seven of the previous eight campaigns.

Aston Villa knocked Tottenham out of the FA Cup in the fourth round last season, and they may repeat the feat on Saturday. Villa have been excellent on the road throughout the season, and they come into this clash having won each of their last three head-to-head meetings with Spurs.
