Morocco and Scotland meet in an intriguing matchup between two teams hoping to sneak into the knockout round. Scotland is the underdog against a Morocco squad that will test their defenses.

Morocco was one of the best stories of the 2022 World Cup, making a surprise underdog run to the semifinals. A 4th-place finish may have felt bittersweet at the time, but it also shows just how far football has come in Africa. They return to the 2026 World Cup with many returning players and all eyes set on another deep tournament run, but need to first make sure they escape from what is a relatively stacked Group C.
Scotland ended a 28-year World Cup drought when they qualified for the 2026 World Cup. Considered a candidate to advance to the knockout stage, Scotland will need to take advantage of games like this one against Morocco. They enter with less experience on the world stage than many other squads, but also as a team that is playing very cohesively and will be a tough out of any potential opponents.
Morocco and Scotland should be a balanced and exciting Group C matchup. They will almost certainly finish 2nd and 3rd in the group, massively raising the stakes of this game. Morocco's speedy offense will be a good test for Scotland's cohesive defense. Expect this one to stay low-scoring, with Morocco eventually breaking through Scotland's back line to earn a victory the likes of 1-0 or 2-1.
