  • Man United are unbeaten since Michael Carrick’s return to the club
  • Crystal Palace have won twice in their last three EPL fixtures

Man United continue their charge for a Champions League spot on March 1, when they welcome Crystal Palace to Old Trafford.

It has been an excellent start to life under Michael Carrick, winning five of their six fixtures, meaning the Red Devils could end the upcoming round as high as third in the Premier League standings.

Despite ongoing uncertainty surrounding Oliver Glasner, Crystal Palace have won two of their last three matches to climb up to 13th in the table.

United in Red-Hot Form Under Carrick

It’s incredible what a change in manager can do. Man United looked hopeless under Ruben Amorim, but the arrival of Michael Carrick has transformed the club’s fortunes.

United have won five of their last six, which includes an excellent 1-0 away win against Everton last Monday. The Red Devils are now three points behind third-place Aston Villa. Benjamin Sesko has been a big-game player under Carrick, netting either the equaliser or winner in each of his last three starts.

United’s home form has been fairly solid throughout the season, winning 27 points from their 12 matches at Old Trafford in 2025-26. That is 16 more than they managed in their 13 games at the end of last season.

Palace Back in Form Under Glasner

Oliver Glasner’s stay at Crystal Palace is set to end at the conclusion of the campaign, but there have been growing calls among fans to relieve the Austrian of his duties before then.

However, confidence can be gained from the fact that the Eagles have won two of their last three in the league, picking up as many points over this period as they had over their nine prior.

However, away form against the better teams in the competition is a concern, with 12 of Palace’s last 14 away wins coming against teams in the bottom ten spots in the standings. In fact, Palace have won just two of their last 26 away fixtures against teams starting the day in the top six.

Possible Lineup
(3-4-2-1) Henderson (GK); Canvot, Richards, Lacroix; Munoz, Wharton, Hughes, Mitchell; Sarr, Guessand; Larsen

Man United vs. Crystal Palace Picks

Crystal Palace may have won on their last two trips to Old Trafford, but this looks like a much stronger United side than in recent seasons. The Red Devils are the only team in the EPL that has yet to lose since Boxing Day, and their dominant attacking threat makes them hard to oppose at the Theatre of Dreams.
