Bottom-placed Wolves travel to the Etihad Stadium on Jan 24, as they take on an out-of-sorts Man City.
Pep Guardiola has been left scratching his head over the last seven days, as his Man City side has fallen to successive defeats against Man United and Bodo/Glimt.
Wolves remain at the bottom of the Premier League standings and appear destined for relegation, but they have avoided defeat in their last five competitive matches.

A damaging period for Guardiola’s Man City have seen them lose ground in the title race with Arsenal. The Gunners now hold a seven-point advantage at the summit, while City will be wondering how they have failed to win in their last four in the Premier League.
Guardiola’s side were below their usual standards in last weekend’s Manchester derby, and they were fortunate to end the game with just a 2-0 loss. Erling Haaland will be aiming to end his goal drought against Wolves this weekend.
The Norwegian has an excellent record against the visitors this Saturday, scoring a staggering ten goals. Marc Guehi could be handed a debut with John Stones, Josko Gvardiol, and Ruben Dias all missing due to injury.

Things have been more positive for Wolves in recent weeks, despite the fact that they sit 14 points from safety.
They come into this clash having avoided defeat in their five matches in 2026, while they have picked up credible draws in each of their last two fixtures. Last weekend’s 0-0 draw against Newcastle showed their improved defensive stability, as they limited the Magpies to few scoring opportunities.
Mateus Mane has been a standout for Wolves, with no player having recorded more goal involvements for the team since December.

This is a daunting challenge for Wolves, as Man City will be hunting for blood following a miserable run of results. Guardiola’s side appear to be good value to cover the spread this weekend.
City have won 26 of their last 30 games against teams starting the day at the bottom of the standings, racking up an aggregate score of 36-0 in their last nine at the Etihad.
