City Aiming to Maintain Cup Dominance Under Guardiola
Man City have been regular players in the final rounds of the FA Cup since Pep Guardiola’s appointment, reaching at least the FA Cup final in each of the last three seasons. Meanwhile, they haven’t suffered an earlier exit than the semi-final stage in each of the last seven campaigns.
City have avoided defeat in their last 12 domestic fixtures, and they showed their class in the fifth round of the competition to overcome Newcastle. Despite falling behind, City recovered to register a 3-1 win, with Omar Marmoush netting twice.

Reds Remain in Hunt for Two Major Honors
Despite a disappointing defense of their Premier League title, Arne Slot’s Liverpool remain in contention for two major pieces of silverware in 2025-26. However, the Reds haven’t reached an FA Cup final since winning the competition in 2021-22.
In fact, that was the only campaign that the team have progressed further than the quarterfinal stage since 2014-15. Liverpool have scored at least three goals in each of the last three rounds, which includes a 3-1 away win against Wolves last time out.
