Nashville were one of the outstanding teams in the Conference last season, and they started the new campaign in similar form after beating New England with ease on Saturday.
FC Dallas also made a dream start to the new campaign after a thrilling victory over Toronto in their opening home game of the season.

Eric Quill would have been delighted with his team’s start to the new season, as the coach chases a second playoff finish in his second season with the franchise.
Dallas excelled offensively in their 3-2 win over Toronto last weekend, with Petar Musa being a constant force, scoring his second goal to make sure of the win in the second period. However, their open defensive nature would be a concern.
Toronto registered five shots on target despite losing in Texas, and the hosts could ill-afford to give a talented Nashville offense the same chances on the second weekend of action.

Nashville’s 2025 season ultimately petered out, but there’s no denying that they have MLS-quality across their squad.
The franchise have already won back-to-back competitive games at the start of the new season, scoring six goals in wins over Ottawa and New England. Nashville were excellent on opening night in Tennessee, with Sam Surridge starting the campaign in strong form after netting a brace in the 4-1 win over New England.
Hany Mukhtar’s creativity is also a crucial part of the team’s game plan. Nashville’s efficiency in the final third should be respected, as the team hit the target with seven of their nine efforts.

Nashville’s offensive quality was clear for all to see on the opening weekend, and the defensive lapses that FC Dallas are typically guilty of will ensure that the away victory is the standout selection when making picks.
