The final matchup in the midweek round of Premier League fixtures is a fascinating clash between title-chasing Arsenal and surprise package Brentford.
There will be huge pressure on the Gunners, as their advantage at the summit may stand at just three points by the time that the North London club takes to the field.
Brentford’s form has been red-hot since the turn of the year, winning each of their last two against Aston Villa and Newcastle.

It is remarkable to think that Brentford were the third favorites to suffer relegation at the start of the season.
However, Keith Andrews’s team currently sit seventh in the standings, and a victory on Thursday could take them to within a single point of the top five. Dango Ouattara was the match-winner in the team’s latest outing, scoring a dramatic late goal in a 3-2 win at Newcastle.
Brentford’s home form has been a key strength this term, going seven without defeat before their 2-0 loss against Nottingham Forest last time out. Igor Thiago has excelled at the Gtech Community Stadium, with nine of his last ten efforts coming in home fixtures.

There is still an incredibly long way to go in the title race this season, but this week’s clash feels like a big test of Arsenal’s mentality.
The Gunners have come up short in each of the last three seasons, and their six-point advantage over Man City could stand at just three points by the time that they take to the field on Thursday. Arsenal have impressively won their last two league fixtures, scoring seven in wins over Sunderland and Leeds.
However, this is a much tougher assignment on the road. But, it should be worth noting that the Gunners have lost just one of their last 23 London derbies.

This is a tricky fixture for Arsenal to navigate, as Brentford have already recorded notable home wins against Liverpool and Man United this season.
The home team’s counter-attacking pace will be key to their chances, while they have an excellent defensive record from set pieces. That could limit the success enjoyed by the Gunners, meaning that the title-chasing visitors may be required to settle for a point.
