An entertaining Premier League clash is set for the Vitality Stadium on Jan 24, as Bournemouth welcome Arne Slot’s Liverpool.
It has been a positive week for the Reds, as they claimed a much-needed win in the Champions League on Wednesday. However, domestically, they have failed to win in four.
Wins have also been in short supply for the Cherries, claiming maximum points in just one of their last five.

Andoni Iraola’s Bournemouth have gained plaudits for their style of play this season, but results have told a different story. The Cherries have won just once in their last 13 league fixtures, which has seen them drop to 15th in the standings.
A concerning factor is the fact that they now sit just ten points clear of the drop zone. In fact, since the start of November, only Wolves and Burnley have picked up fewer points that the Cherries.
Defensively, they will certainly need to improve, as no side have allowed more goals (30) than Bournemouth over that period.

The pressure continues to mount on Arne Slot, despite the fact that the Reds have avoided defeat in their last ten Premier League matches.
However, wins have dried up over that period, as they have played out draws in their last four. Scoring goals has been a surprising negative for the reigning champions, as they have failed to score in four different fixtures this season.
But, a big plus for the team has been the recent performances of Florian Wirtz. The German has recorded goal involvements in four of his last six Premier League appearances.

Liverpool looked more efficient following the return of Salah in midweek, and that could be a daunting prospect for Bournemouth this weekend.
The Cherries have been in weak form since the start of November, and they have shipped a staggering 52 goals in 17 EPL fixtures with the Reds. It should also be noted that Liverpool have won 12 of the last 13 head-to-head encounters.
