An entertaining clash is set for the Vitality Stadium on Feb 7, as in-form Bournemouth host Aston Villa in the Premier League.
Aston Villa’s form has dipped in recent weeks, losing two of their last three. That means that they are now seven points adrift of Arsenal at the top of the standings.
Bournemouth will take plenty of confidence from their return to form, winning back-to-back matches, and three of their last four.

Andoni Iraola’s Bournemouth have looked back to their best in recent weeks, going five without defeat in all competitions. The Cherries were excellent on the road last weekend, landing a 2-0 win at Wolves.
Meanwhile, they have won their last two at the Vitality Stadium against Liverpool and Tottenham. Interestingly, Bournemouth have a very strong record against teams starting the day in the top three, winning five of their lasts seven.
The team boast some incredible finishers, including Junior Kroupi, who has the best conversion rate of any player in the Premier League (38.1%).

Unai Emery cut a frustrated figure on the sidelines last Saturday following Aston Villa’s shock 1-0 home loss against Brentford.
The defeat means that Villa have now lost two of their last three league games, and they have recorded just one win in four. That run of form has allowed the chasing pack to close on Villa, with Man United likely to sit just two points behind the team after this weekend.
Fatigue could be playing a role in their drop off in form, as Villa had lost just three of their opening 18 league games in 2025-26.

Bournemouth’s upturn in form could be the logical angle worth following this weekend. It is also worth considering that the Cherries have won four of the previous ten clashes between the sides. Based on their recent performances, the home win could be the area of value.
