- Wolves are still yet to win in their 16 Premier League outings in 2025-26
- Brentford sit 15th in the standings after failing to win in their last three
All eyes will be on the bottom of the Premier League standings this weekend, as winless Wolves host Brentford. You can find the latest odds, and our picks for the clash here.
Despite falling to successive defeats against Arsenal and Man United, plenty of positives can be taken from the Wolves' performances. Last weekend, they were cruelly denied a point against the Gunners after scoring a late own goal deep into injury time.
Brentford sit seven points clear of the drop zone ahead of the busy festive period. However, their recent form has dipped, as they have failed to win in their last three.

Winless Wolves Chasing Rare Success
It almost feels impossible to suggest that Rob Edwards can guide Wolves to safety this season, and instead, attention has already switched to adjusting to life back in the Championship.
Wolves haven’t recorded a Premier League win since April, and they have lost a staggering 14 of their 16 fixtures in 2025-26. However, last weekend’s loss at Arsenal was undeniably their best display of the campaign, as they defended excellently, requiring the league leaders to benefit from two own goals to claim victory.
Aside from the home loss against Man United, Wolves’ defensive metrics have improved since Edwards’ arrival, allowing xGAs of 0.82, 1.12, and 0.89 in three of their last four games.

Bees Winless in Three
It has been a challenging period for Keith Andrews and his Brentford side, as they have failed to win in their last three. Things will get tougher over the next six weeks or so, as they will be without a couple of key players due to AFCON.
The Bees were frustrated last weekend, as they were forced to settle for a 1-1 home draw against Leeds. Despite dominating the ball, they lacked the creative guile to trouble the Leeds defensive line.
Being with Dango Ouattara will damage their chances this weekend, as the forward has been one of their attacking outputs this term after netting three goals and being a key figure in the counter-attacking style.

Wolves vs. Brentford Picks
This could be the weekend that Wolves finally record their first win of the season. The hosts have avoided defeat in seven of their last ten matches against Brentford at Molineux, and plenty of positives can be taken from their defensive performances in recent weeks.
The Bees will be without key stars in the attacking third, and they have won just one of their eight games on the road in 2025-26.
