- Pressure mounting on Thomas Frank following a 3-0 loss at Nottingham Forest
- Liverpool have won successive matches in all competitions
One of the standout games of the Premier League weekend is set for North London on Dec 20, as struggling Tottenham host Liverpool. Find our picks here.
Thomas Frank’s future at Spurs continues to come under the microscope, and it could be argued that minimal improvement has been made throughout this season. Defeat on Saturday could spell the end of his stay at Tottenham.

Pressure on Frank’s Position at Tottenham
Thomas Frank is currently the favorite to be the next manager sacked in the Premier League, and defeat could spell the end for the Dane on Saturday.
Spurs suffered one of their most embarrassing defeats of the season last weekend, as they were humbled 3-0 by Nottingham Forest. A lack of offensive threat has been a major problem for Tottenham throughout the campaign, as they have mustered a poor xG average of just 1.18.
Despite that, they have scored 1.56 goals per game. But, it is their home form that is the biggest area of concern. In North London, Tottenham have won just two of their eight fixtures, and have to keep clean sheets in 25% of their fixtures.

Reds to Continue Solid Form Without Salah
Despite their well-documented issues this season, Liverpool could move into the Champions League spots with a win on Saturday.
The Reds have responded well to critics, winning each of their last two without conceding, and going four EPL fixtures without defeat. Slot will be appeased that Salah has headed to AFCON, as the Egyptian’s long-term future at the club will not be a hot topic this weekend.
However, the champions will be without one of their best-performing stars this season, as Szoboszlai is likely to be out until Boxing Day. Isak could be recalled to the starting eleven, with last weekend’s match-winner against Brighton, Ekitike, moved out onto the left wing.

Tottenham vs. Liverpool Picks
There has been little to like about Tottenham this season, as they have conceded far too many goals and lacked any creative guile in the final third.
Liverpool’s pacey wingers, and clinical finishing ability could ensure that they run out ready winners this weekend. It only enhances their chances that they have scored 19 goals in their last five competitive fixtures against the North London club.
