Tigres UANL held their nerve to progress through to this stage after beating Cruz Azul on away goals in the semi-final. Juan Brunetta scored the crucial goal in the second leg of the tie.
Toluca’s confidence should be sky-high ahead of this clash after finishing top of the regular season standings and overcoming Monterrey in the semi-final round.
Tigres UANL will have the increased pressure on them for the first leg on Dec 11, as they will be aiming to build an advantage ahead of the second leg on Dec 14.
The Mexican side finished second in the regular season standings, losing a league-low of just one game in their 17 outings.
They progressed through to this stage after overcoming Cruz Azul on away goals in a low-scoring tie. It could be worth noting that Tigres have won an impressive 64% of their home games in 2025.

Toluca will be aiming to go one better than they did in the Liga MX Apertura stage last season after losing in the final.
Plenty of positives can be taken from their performances throughout the season, as they finished top of the regular season standings, winning a league-high eleven games and suffering just two defeats. Meanwhile, in the previous round, they edged out Monterrey following a 3-2 home success in the second leg.
Paulinho and Helinho netted the crucial goals in the success to secure their second straight appearance at this stage of the competition.
