Everything is still to play for in this clash after the sides played out a thrilling 1-1 draw in midweek.
Angel Correa broke the deadlock for Tigres in the second half, before Cruz Azul deservedly got their equalizer with just 14 minutes remaining. That leveller could yet prove crucial in the context of this tie, but they will still have a mountain to climb in Saturday’s second leg.

Tigres UANL will have the important home advantage for the second leg on Saturday after finishing higher than their opponents in the regular season standings.
The team played a defensive formation in Wednesday’s first leg, showing their counter-attacking prowess on a number of occasions.
At home, they have been strong throughout the campaign, winning seven of their ten fixtures, and scoring an average of 2.7 goals per game. Meanwhile, Tigres have kept clean sheets in 60% of their home games in 2025.

Cruz Azul will feel as though they missed an opportunity in their first leg against Tigres. They failed to make their home advantage count, and were forced to settle for a draw after netting late in the game.
Cruz Azul dominated the ball in that draw, and they created a good selection of chances without managing to force their way through.
Confidence will be gained from their record on the road this season, losing just one of their nine on the road. Their excellent defensive record away from home will be tested on Saturday, as they have kept clean sheets in 33% of their road games.

The visitors have been defensively strong on the road this season, and that will give them a decent chance of upsetting the odds on Saturday.
However, it is still challenging to bet against Tigres, who have been reliable in front of their home fans throughout 2025.
