The 2025 Leagues Cup couldn’t have gotten off to a better start for the Seattle Sounders, as they were rampant winners on matchday one. They will be hoping to maintain that form when they come up against Santos Laguna on Sunday.

The Sounders were at their dynamic best against Cruz Azul in midweek, smashing seven efforts past their hapless Mexican rivals. Six different players found the net in the dominant outing, with Pedro de la Vega netting twice.

Santos Laguna will be aiming to get their campaign back on track after throwing away a 1-0 lead in the final half an hour against the Colorado Avalanche on Thursday evening.

Seattle vs. Santos Laguna Picks

The Sounders were electric in their opening match of the Leagues Cup, and they will be heavily expected to maintain that strong attacking form this Sunday.

Santos Laguna will be without their first-choice goalkeeper, which could unsettle the backline this weekend. Therefore, we could see Seattle recording victory by at least a two-goal margin at Lumen Field.
