Competitive action in the Western Conference of the MLS is set for Saturday, October 11. There will be huge pressure on Real Salt Lake, as they bid to secure their spot in the playoffs.
The visitors come into this round after going 12-16-4 in 2025. Meanwhile, the Seattle Sounders have already secured their spot in the post-season, but they don't look set to end the campaign any higher than fifth. You can find our picks for the clash this weekend here.

The pressure will be off the Seattle Sounders when they play at Lumen Field this weekend. Seattle's spot in the playoffs has already been assured, and it is mathematically impossible for them to finish any higher in the Western Conference standings.
The Sounders bounced back to winning ways in the previous round of matches after battling to a 1-0 success against the Portland Timbers. Their only goal in that success was netted in the opening 16 minutes by Pedro de la Vega.
There will be increased pressure on Real Salt Lake this weekend. The visitors are still looking to secure their spot in the playoffs, and they are level on points with tenth-place Colorado Rapids.
Real Salt Lake have recorded victories in their last two matches, which includes a crucial success in the previous round against the Rapids. Diego Goncalves was the match-winner in the previous round, netting the important effort just five minutes before the half-time break.
The Sounders have very little to play for this weekend, while the hopes of the visitors will likely hinge on the outcome.
Therefore, an away victory makes plenty of appeal when making Seattle vs. Real Salt Lake picks. It enhances their chances based on the fact that they have won three of their last four against their opponents this weekend.
