Eddie Howe’s Newcastle appear to have turned a corner in recent weeks, winning each of their last two in the Premier League. Last weekend, they finally recorded a first win on the road this term, smashing four past a hapless Everton.
The victory lifted Newcastle up to 13th in the standings, and another win could see them end the night within a point of the top five. Newcastle’s home form will be an important factor to consider, as they have won four of their six at St. James’ Park, scoring an average of 1.67 goals per game.

The increased pressure this week will likely come on Tottenham, as they have dropped quickly in the league standings after winning just once across their last five in the Premier League.
Meanwhile, they have fallen to defeats in each of their last three in all competitions, conceding an eye-watering eleven goals. Defensive issues were at the heart of their problems on Saturday, as they conceded twice inside six minutes against Fulham.
Fans are beginning to ask questions of Frank, and he will need a positive response from his players this weekend ahead of a busy period on the schedule.
