The MLS Playoffs continue this weekend, and a place in the second round will hang in the balance, as New York City host Charlotte.
It was an excellent performance by NYC in game one of the series, as they upset the odds to claim a 1-0 success in North Carolina.
A cagey match between the sides saw limited chances created, but NYC eventually produced the moment of magic to win the game, with Alonso Martinez netting the only goal in the game.

Pascal Jansen would have been delighted with his team's performance in the opening game of the series against Charlotte on Tuesday.
The victory means that NYC could reach the second round of the playoffs for the third time in four seasons, and they will have their sights set on a second MLS Cup triumph in four campaigns.
New York's possession-based game sucked the life out of Charlotte on Tuesday, as they dictated the play in their 5-4-1 formation. A similar approach is likely this weekend.
Dean Smith's Charlotte FC enjoyed a memorable regular season campaign.
However, their playoff dreams hang in the balance this weekend, as a defeat will leave them crashing out in the opening round.
Charlotte FC have never progressed further than the first round in the playoffs, but hopes would have been high in terms of reversing their fortunes this term. Fortunately, Wilfried Zaha will be back in contention to start this weekend after serving his suspension.
