Fire to Increase Heat on Orlando

An intriguing final day of the regular season in the Eastern Conference will see four teams clashing for the final two automatic spots in the playoffs.

The Chicago Fire will need a victory in New England to stand any chance of stealing a spot in the top seven, while they will also require Orlando City or Nashville to drop points.

Chicago have taken four points from their last two matches, and their destiny could have been in their own hands had they not have let slip an advantage in the closing stages against Toronto FC on Oct 5.

Possible Lineup
(5-4-1) Brady (GK); Selassie, Rogers, Waterman, Elliott, Gutman; Zinckernagel, Oregel, Pineda, Gutierrez; Cuypers

New England Playing for Pride

The New England Revolution have already exited playoff contention, meaning that they will be playing for nothing more than pride on the final day of the season.

They have gone 9-16-8 in the MLS this season, and they have failed to win in five of their last six matches.

However, their only victory over that period was recorded in their most recent home match against Atlanta United. Last time out, New England were easily beaten 4-1 by Inter Miami on the road.

Possible Lineup
(3-4-2-1) Turner (GK); Fofana, Ceballos, Beason; Bye, Polster, Chancalay, Sands; Turgeman, Gil; Campana

New England vs. Chicago Picks

Chicago recorded a professional win over New England last month, and their strong attacking output will make them challenging to oppose on the final day of the season.

A win may not be enough to secure a top-seven finish in the Eastern Conference, but we fully expect the Fire to keep their end of the bargain on Saturday.
