The Capitals should bring good confidence into this round of games after winning each of their last two. Meanwhile, they have gone 6-3-1 across their last ten.
The Maple Leafs ended a poor run of results in their latest outing, and a second straight win could take them off the bottom of the Atlantic Division standings.
The Washington Capitals will have the home ice advantage on Friday, as they go in search of a third straight win.
Washington have recorded wins in six of their previous ten, and only the top two in the Metropolitan Division have won more frequently this term.
Being back at home will be a key factor worth considering this week, as the Caps have gone 7-5-1 at Capital One Arena. Tom Wilson leads the franchise for goals in 2025-26 (11).

However, Toronto's issues on the road this season remain a notable issue, as they have gone 2-6-0 away from the Scotiabank Arena.
