Boxing Day soccer is a tradition in the UK, and Old Trafford will host the only EPL fixture on Dec 26 this year. Find the odds and our Man United vs. Newcastle picks here.

Man United’s performances have remained positive in recent weeks, but they will need to bounce back following a 2-1 loss against Aston Villa on Sunday. United have also failed to win in their last three at Old Trafford.

Newcastle remain eleventh in the standings after failing to win in three of their last four Premier League fixtures. Last time out, they played out a draw at home to Chelsea.

Fernandes a Big Miss for United

Man United once again caught the eye despite losing at Villa Park on Sunday. The Red Devils looked assured in possession, and created no shortage of chances in the defeat.

However, it has damaged their win-loss record, as United have now won just twice in their last five league matches.

Ruben Amorim’s problems could be mounting this week too, as he will be without his injured captain, Bruno Fernandes. Mbeumo, Amad, and De Ligt are all also ruled out. Casemiro is available again following suspension.

Magpies in Stuttering Form

Newcastle will be aiming to get their season back on track this Friday, as they have lost ground in the Champions League race after failing to win in three of their last four.

The Magpies were much better in their most recent outing against Chelsea, but they squandered a 2-0 advantage to settle for a point. Newcastle’s away record continues to be a major concern.

Eddie Howe’s side have won just one from eight on the road this season, conceding an average of 1.25 goals per game, and scoring just 0.88.

(4-3-3) Ramsdale (GK); Livramento, Schar, Thiaw, Hall; Guimaraes, Tonali, Joelinton; Barnes, Wissa, Gordon

Man United vs. Newcastle Picks

Newcastle have won on just three of their last 32 trips to Old Trafford, while their away record this season is a major concern.

United’s performances have been very reliable in recent weeks, even if they aren’t getting the points that they deserve. Being without their captain on Boxing Day is a worry, but we are still happy to side with the hosts at the prices.
