Wolves look destined for the drop, and they will require a Christmas miracle to end their 17-game winless run this season at Anfield on Saturday.

Arne Slot deserves credit for getting Liverpool’s season back on track after a poor run of results a few months ago.
The Reds have now avoided defeat in their last five, and they have recorded wins in each of their last two. Liverpool’s momentum continued last Saturday after playing out a 2-1 win at Tottenham. Alexander Isak scored after coming off the bench in the win, but a serious knee injury threatens to keep the Swede out for the remainder of the campaign.
Jeremie Frimpong is expected to start on Saturday, while Hugo Ekitike is a man in-form after scoring three in his last two appearances.

Rob Edwards’ Wolves appear in danger of being cut adrift at the bottom of the standings after suffering a tenth straight loss against Brentford on Saturday.
The record-low points tally is in serious danger this term, as Wolves have picked up just two points from their opening 17 fixtures. Their issues were clear in their recent loss, as defensive errors led to Brentford’s two goals, and they failed to score despite being handed an ideal chance from the spot.
Wolves haven’t won in the Premier League since April, and as their odds will suggest, a victory on the road at the champions will require a miracle on Saturday.

It is near impossible to overlook the chances of a home win this weekend. Liverpool have won ten of their last 13 home fixtures against Wolves, and the visitors have allowed a staggering 2.18 goals per game this term.
A solid defensive display against Arsenal recently will be evidence that the Reds will need to work hard, but a 2-0 win is a likely option.
