Both teams come into this round in high-quality form, with the visitors having avoided defeat in their last eight. But, will their unbeaten sequence come to an end at the hands of LAFC? Action in the MLS continues on Thursday. LAFC will still have hopes of finishing top of the Western Conference standings, and they will play the first of their two games in hand against Toronto this week.
LAFC have recorded victories in each of their last five matches to secure their spot in the playoffs. Victories in each of their two matches in hand will send them two points clear of San Diego FC at the summit. Last time out, they recorded a 1-0 win over Atlanta United with Denis Bouanga netting the winner.
Toronto FC are already out of playoff contention in the Eastern Conference, having won just five of their 32 matches this season. However, the Canadian side sports a remarkable recent run of results, having played out draws in their last eight.
Their latest outing came in Chicago on Sunday, as they fought back to salvage a point in the tenth minute of injury time when Dorde Mihailovic levelled with the last kick of the game.
Toronto's remarkable run of draws is a notable betting angle this week, but it could still be hard to overlook the prospect of a home win when making LAFC vs. Toronto picks. The Western Conference side have been in red-hot form in recent weeks, and a sixth straight victory looks like the most viable outcome on Thursday.
