The pressure will be mounting on the Gunners, and they could kick-off on Saturday evening sitting second in the standings. Mikel Arteta’s side battled to a much-needed win over Wolves last Saturday, but they have failed to win in two of their last four.
Everton slipped to a defeat at Chelsea last weekend, but their progression under David Moyes has been apparent this term, winning two of their last three.

Arsenal were way below their usual high standards last weekend, as they required two own goals to see off winless Wolves.
Creativity from open play has been a major issue for the Gunners throughout the season, largely relying on their prowess from set pieces to make the difference. Their attacking record on the road would be a concern this weekend, as they have scored just 1.25 per game compared to their average of 2.5 in home fixtures.
However, their structured defensive unit is undeniably a strength, with the Gunners keeping clean sheets in 50% of their games in 2025-26.

Everton suffered a sixth defeat of the season last weekend when they were beaten at Chelsea. But, their progress this campaign has been eye-catching.
Moyes has implemented a more attacking system, which has seen Everton win seven of their opening 16 fixtures. A victory on Saturday could see the Toffees end the night as high as fifth in the standings. They have quickly made themselves at home in their new ground, winning four of their eight games at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Their attacking threat in home fixtures is reflected by their lofty average xG of 1.54, but they have tended to be wasteful in the final third after scoring just 1.28 per match.

Arsenal’s stuttering offensive performances are becoming a worrying trend, and their inability to break down a poor defensive side in Wolves last weekend would have sent alarm bells ringing.
Everton’s structured back line has already caused major issues for top teams this season, and it could be enough to get them a draw for the third straight time against the Gunners.
