Canada Cruising Through
Canada's pursuit of a first Winter Olympics gold since 2018 has started in excellent fashion.
The nation have won back-to-back games, and their spot in the next round of the competition has already been assured. Canada continued their dominant form on Friday, beating a talented Switzerland team 5-1 in Milan.
It was a memorable night for NHL superstar Connor McDavid, as the talented star scored his first Olympic goal in the win over the Swiss. Nathan MacKinnon and Macklin Celebrini also scored in the victory.
France Massive Outsiders to Cause Major Upset
France will be the huge outsiders in the betting on Sunday, as they bid to achieve the biggest shock result of the tournament so far.
The French are ranked 14th in the world rankings, and they have finished no better than eighth in the Winter Olympics since 1968. They have been very defensively weak so far, allowing ten goals in defeats against Switzerland and Czechia.
However, they at least showed offensive quality on Friday, netting three times in the second frame of their loss against Czechia.
