Canada have been perfect in the competition to this point, boasting a 100% record. However, they will need to maintain those lofty standards under increased pressure.
Czechia will be massive outsiders to cause an upset on Wednesday, but their character was on full display in Tuesday’s narrow win against Denmark in Milan.

Jon Cooper’s Canada will be aiming to make more Olympic history before the end of the Games, as the nation bids to win a record-extending tenth gold medal. However, a success would mark a first top prize since 2018.
Canada have been faultless so far at the Olympics, winning each of their three Group A games to take top spot. Offensively, the team were strong, scoring 20 goals. Meanwhile, they only allowed a tournament-low of three.
Macklin Celebrini has been in inspired form, scoring a tournament-high four.
Wednesday’s quarterfinal marks a rematch between Czechia and Canada, with the current favorites for gold landing a dominant 5-0 win on opening night in Group A.
However, Czechia improved following that defeat, beating France with ease, before narrowly losing to Switzerland in overtime. Their spot in this stage was assured with a close win over a talented Denmark in the playoff round.
Martin Necas will be a notable player for the team, with the star having scored three goals and registered four assists at the Olympics.
