  • Colorado Avalanche have dropped to 3-5-2 across their last ten
  • San Jose Sharks have suffered three straight losses in the NHL

Questions are being asked of the Colorado Avalanche following a poor run of form. But, can they bounce back to winning ways when they host the San Jose Sharks?

The Avalanche have dropped to 3-5-2 across their last ten, but they remain clear in the Western Conference standings. But, a return to form is required to maintain their advantage at the summit.

The Sharks have struggled for consistency throughout the season, winning 27 of their 54 games. They come into this round after losing their last three.

Avalanche Enduring a Dip in Form

The Colorado Avalanche remain the team to catch in the Western Conference, but Jared Bednar will likely be concerned by the team’s recent run of form.

Colorado have suffered five regulation time losses in their last ten, and have won just three times over the same period. Defensive issues have been apparent in recent outings, conceding 14 across defeats against the Senators, Canadiens, and Red Wings.

Their latest defeat was suffered against the latter of those teams, losing 2-0 at home earlier this week.

The San Jose Sharks will already be considered outsiders in the race to finish in a playoff spot this term. Despite having a winning 27-23-4 record, the Sharks come into this clash after going 4-5-1 across their last ten.

Meanwhile, they have lost each of their previous three. Defensively, they have been poor across that period, allowing 13 goals.

Six of which came in a poor showing against the Chicago Blackhawks earlier this week.
