The Red Wings come into this home clash after losing their latest game in the NHL. However, despite that, they remain second in the Atlantic Division, and within striking distance of the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Meanwhile, the Senators sit bottom of the current Atlantic Division standings. However, they bring better recent form into this clash after winning their last two games.
DATE & TIME
Red Wings Searching for Response
Despite winning six of their last ten games in the NHL, the Red Wings have failed to keep pace with the red-hot Tampa Bay Lightning in the Atlantic Division.
However, plenty of positives can be taken from their performances this season, and they boast a winning 28-16-4 record this term, and have one of the better defensive records in the Eastern Conference.
But, they were disappointing last week, losing 3-0 on the road against the Boston Bruins. That loss means that they have now allowed six goals in their last two games.
Senators Overlooked in the Betting
The Ottawa Senators bring positive recent form into this clash after winning each of their last two games. However, they remain locked to the bottom of the Atlantic Division.
Despite that, they still have a winning overall record this season, and they have scored an impressive 151 goals in their 46 games. As the Super Bowl betting preview suggests, it is always challenging to write off an outsider, and that will be the case in the NHL this Sunday.
The Senators showcased their offensive quality in an 8-4 win over the NY Rangers on Thursday, with Brady Tkachuk racking up four points.

Senators vs. Red Wings Picks
The Senators could present a dangerous challenge for the Red Wings this weekend after building confidence with two fine offensive displays at the end of last week. It is also worth noting that they have won just under 50% of their previous road games against Detroit.
