There will be pressure on Andrew Brunette’s team on Thursday, as the Preds bid to snap a losing run and re-emerge as a leading playoff contender.
Offensive players such as Steven Stamkos and Luke Evangelista have shone this term, with the former netting a team-high 30 goals.
A third straight loss was suffered earlier this week, as the Predators conceded two goals in the final period to lose 3-2 on the road against the Columbus Blue Jackets. Filip Forsberg and Ryan O’Reilly scored the goals in the loss.

The Boston Bruins appear to be one of the standout contenders for a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, with Marco Sturm’s team sitting fifth in the Atlantic Division after winning six of their last ten.
They have been difficult to beat over that period, suffering just one loss in regulation time.
Boston responded to a defeat earlier this week on Tuesday, as they recorded a 2-1 win at TD Garden against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Casey Mittselstadt and Marat Knusnutdinov scored the goals.
