Meanwhile, the Utah Mammoth are making waves in their pursuit of a playoff place in the NHL, winning five of their previous ten.
The NJ Devils will have pressure on their shoulders if they are to mount a playoff challenge in 2025-26.
They come into this clash after going 4-5-1 over their last ten. Scoring goals has been a continued issue for the franchise, as they have netted just 109 this term, which is the joint lowest in the Metropolitan Division.
However, confidence would have been gained following a strong performance in their latest outing against the Columbus Blue Jackets. Luke Hughes and Arseni Gritsyuk both scored goals in that 3-2 win on the road.

It could be an important start to 2026 for the Utah Mammoth, as they are well within striking distance of a playoff spot in the Central Division.
They come into this clash after going 5-5-0 over their last ten, and they are best of the rest in the division below the in-form trio at the top of the standings. The Mammoth produced one of their best attacking displays of the season earlier in the week, as they scored seven times in New York against the Islanders.
Dylan Guenther was among the standout stars in the win, scoring three times and registering one assist.
