Mike Sullivan will face a daunting second half to the season, as the Rangers bid to turn their campaign around and mount a playoff challenge.
They come into this clash on Monday evening after losing each of their last three, while they have also struggled for victories at Madison Square Garden, going 5-11-4. New York were battered in their latest outing, suffering an embarrassing 10-2 road loss against the Boston Bruins.
Everything that could possibly go wrong for the Rangers on that night, did so. Big questions will now be asked of their character.

The Seattle Kraken look to be among the leading playoff contenders in the Western Conference at this stage.
Despite having suffered defeats in each of their last two, they sit fourth in the Pacific Division, and no side have recorded more wins in the division across their last ten games. A victory for Seattle on Monday could see them climb up to third in the standings.
Lane Lambert’s side were narrowly beaten over the weekend, as they suffered a 3-2 road loss against the Carolina Hurricanes. But, this could be a good opportunity to bounce back.
