Kings on Comeback Trail

Jim Hiller will be hopeful of a response from his LA Kings team this week following a disappointing defeat in their latest home game at the hands of the Dallas Stars.

Home form has been a continued issue for the Kings this season, as they have gone 7-9-5 at Crypto.com Arena. In contrast, they have excelled on their travels in 2025-26, winning 12 of their 31 games.

Adrian Kempe has been the bright spark in the team, scoring a Kings-high of 35 points.

Vegas Aiming to Extend Advantage

The Vegas Golden Knights have once again emerged as the leading playoff contender in the Pacific Division.

They have accumulated an overall record of 21-11-12 this season, and they come into this clash following a run of four straight victories to sit a point clear of the Edmonton Oilers. Bruce Cassidy’s team have been effective on the road this season, going 10-5-6.

Last time out, they were dominant 7-2 winners in San Jose against the Sharks. Jack Eichel leads the team with 48 points, while Tomas Hertl has scored a high of 18 goals.

The Kings have endured struggles in home games this season, and that will be detrimental to their chances on Wednesday. Therefore, the preference is for the Golden Knights to record a fifth straight win in the NHL.
