Action from the Western Conference of the NHL is slated for April 2, as the Vegas Golden Knights bid to close the gap at the top of the Pacific Division when they host the Calgary Flames.
The Golden Knights responded to some negative results with a win in their most recent outing, while the Calgary Flames will be looking to bounce back following a recent loss.
It has been a challenging second half to the regular season for the Vegas Golden Knights, as they have dropped to third in the Pacific Division. However, confidence would have been taken from their recent win over the Vancouver Canucks, which ended a three-game losing run.
Defensive issues will still need to be addressed, as the Golden Knights have allowed at least two goals in their previous four. However, their record at the T-Mobile Arena remains a key strength, going 17-12-9.

The Calgary Flames have been involved in some pulsating recent clashes in the NHL, with their last two games seeing an overall total of 21 goals scored. However, defensive concerns were apparent in their latest outing after losing 9-2 against the Colorado Avalanche.
Their record on the road has been an obvious concern throughout the campaign, with the Flames going 10-22-3 on their travels. Scoring goals has also been an issue for the team, with only the Vancouver Canucks registering fewer efforts in the Pacific Division.
