DATE & TIME
Pressure Mounting on Struggling Ducks
There will be mounting pressure on Joel Quenneville’s Anaheim Ducks, as the franchise are limping over the line in the NHL. The Ducks remain third in the Pacific Division and within one point of the top spot, but they have suffered defeats in each of their last six fixtures.
Anaheim’s struggles continued on Tuesday evening, as they were hammered 5-0 on home ice by the Nashville Predators. A more assured defensive performance will be required if the Ducks are to bounce back to form on Thursday.
Sharks Chasing Successive Wins
A busy end to the regular season awaits for the San Jose Sharks, as they bid to finish in the playoff spots. However, they will still face an uphill challenge if they are to finish in the playoff positions.
The Sharks currently sit fifth in the Pacific Division, but confidence will be gained after winning five of their last ten. San Jose showed their battling qualities in their most recent outing to record a 3-2 win over the Chicago Blackhawks. William Eklund was a standout performer in the win, registering a goal and an assist.
