The Kings will be on the comeback trail on Friday after losing each of their last two games. Despite that poor run, they remain fifth in the Pacific Division standings, and still boast a winning record in 2025-26.
The Ducks will be looking up after ending a ten-game winless run earlier this week. A second straight victory could take them above the Kings in the Division standings.
Jim Hiller’s LA Kings will be aiming to end a run of back-to-back defeats when they return to action at the Crypto.com Arena this week.
However, home wins haven’t been assured throughout this season, reflected by their 7-10-5 record in front of their own fans. Attacking issues have also impacted their chances, with only the Flames scoring fewer goals in the Pacific Division.
Last time out, the Kings were beaten at home by the Vegas Golden Knights, with the visitors landing the crucial effort in the 3-2 win in overtime.

It has been a mixed first season in charge for Joel Quenneville. Despite suffering a long winless run, the Ducks would have taken confidence from a return to form in their latest outing after landing a much-needed victory over the Dallas Stars.
However, building on that win will now be their big challenge. Anaheim have a winning overall record this season, and they could move above their rivals with a win on Friday.
Cutter Gauthier has been their main attacking talent, scoring a team-high 20 goals so far this term.
