The Devils have struggled in recent weeks, and that has seen them drop to sixth in the Metropolitan Division. They come into this round following a run of four straight defeats.
The Minnesota Wild will also be chasing a return to form following a defeat in their latest game, which has seen them drop to a record of 4-2-4 across their last ten.

Sheldon Keefe’s NJ Devils come into this round of games sitting sixth in the Metropolitan Division. However, they still have a winning record in 2025-26, going 22-21-2 in the NHL.
Despite that, they face an uphill challenge to achieve a playoff finish this season, and their recent form is a major concern after losing seven of their last ten in regulation.
Their poor form continued last time out, as they were beaten 4-3 by the Winnipeg Jets, extending their losing run to four games.

John Hynes’ Minnesota Wild will still have an excellent chance of finishing in the playoff places this season. A lot of confidence can be gained from their home record, having gone 13-4-6 at the Xcel Energy Stadium.
The Wild will still have questions to answer on Monday, though, having gone 4-2-4 across their last ten. Minnesota were edged out in their latest outing, suffering an overtime loss against the New York Islanders.
Quinn Hughes enjoyed an excellent night despite the defeat, registering an impressive three assists.

The Devils have a strong strike-rate against the Wild, but that could count for very little on Monday. Minnesota have been reliable in home games throughout the season, and we fully expect them to claim a victory against a struggling rival this week.
