Two out-of-form teams collide in the NHL on Jan 21, as the Vancouver Canucks bid to end their eleven-game losing run when they take on the Washington Capitals.
Form is a key trend to consider, and it holds true when assessing Super Bowl odds and picks.
However, the Capitals and Canucks both have poor losing runs in the NHL, with the hosts losing their last three and Vancouver suffering defeats in an NHL-high eleven straight games.
Spencer Carbery will be aiming to turn the tide back in his team’s favor this week, as the Washington Capitals bid to end a three-game losing run.
The Caps have dropped to fifth in the Metropolitan Division, and they have registered just three wins in their last ten games. Their poor recent defensive form continued on Monday, as they were easily beaten 5-2 by the Colorado Avalanche.
However, they should have an enhanced chance against one of the worst teams in the NHL this season.

It has been a damaging period in the NHL for the Vancouver Canucks, and they are now cut adrift of the remainder of the teams in the Pacific Division after losing their last eleven games.
They have been too easy to beat across their last ten, with eight of their ten losses coming in regulation time. Defensive issues have been glaringly obvious throughout the campaign.
They have now allowed 180 goals, which is the most of any side in the Western Conference. Home form has been one of the team’s biggest concerns, as they have gone 4-14-3 at Rogers Arena.
