Western Conference NHL action is slated for April 4, as the in-form Utah Mammoth travel to the Vancouver Canucks.
The Mammoth have won back-to-back games in their pursuit of a playoff place in the Central Division. Meanwhile, the Canucks were beaten in their most recent outing.
The Vancouver Canucks are destined to finish at the bottom of the Western Conference this season, as they have accumulated a poor 22-45-8 overall record. They currently sit 18 points adrift of the remaining teams in the Pacific Division.
Many of their major issues have come in home games this term, going 8-25-5 in Vancouver. Their confidence is likely to be low following a 5-2 loss against the Minnesota Wild in their most recent outing. Vancouver's goals in the loss were netted in the opening period by Jake DeBrusk and Tom Willander.

The Utah Mammoth have an excellent chance of finishing in the Western Conference playoff positions this season. They come into this weekend sitting fourth in the Central Division, holding a seven-point advantage over fifth-placed Nashville.
Their recent record has been very reliable, winning five of their last ten, which includes victories in each of their previous two. Their offensive players sparkled in their previous outing, with Logan Cooley scoring twice in a 6-2 road win against the Seattle Kraken.
