Chicago have been in excellent recent form in the NHL, winning each of their last four. However, they remain at the foot of the Central Division.
The increased pressure will likely be on the Preds this weekend, as they have home ice advantage. Confidence would have been built following a win in their latest outing.
It has been a productive spell in the NHL for Predators, as they sit fifth in the Central Division. They come into this round with a positive winning record in 2025-26, and they would have gained confidence after winning their latest game against the NY Islanders.
Nashville kept their nerve in the shootout to land success after the teams were held at 1-1 after overtime.
The Preds have been consistent in home games this season, but they will need to clock up more wins after going 10-9-2.

The Chicago Blackhawks appear to be making their move in the playoff race after winning each of their last four games.
Chicago remain sixth in the Central Division, but they are just a point behind their opponents this weekend. The Blackhawks have an even 18-18-7 record at this stage.
But, their road record would raise questions after going 8-10-3. Tyler Bertuzzi will be a key player for the team on Saturday, as he leads the Blackhawks with 22 goals so far this season.
