Teams in contrasting recent form will clash in the NHL on Jan 30, as the Chicago Blackhawks host the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Chicago come into this round in poor recent form, having lost each of their last three games. A return to winning ways will be required at the United Center.
Meanwhile, the Blue Jackets have registered three straight wins to improve to 7-3-0 across their last ten outings.
It has been a frustrating period in the NHL for the Chicago Blackhawks, as they have suffered defeats in each of their last three games.
That run of form has seen Chicago drop to sixth in the Central Division, and they now have a losing 21-23-9 overall record. The Blackhawks have suffered five regulation time losses in their last ten, winning on just three occasions across the same period.
Their record at the United Center is also a concern, as they have gone 11-13-5 in home games in 2025-26.

It has been an effective period in the NHL for the Columbus Blue Jackets, as they have improved on their positive overall record after winning each of their last three.
They still sit fifth in the Metropolitan Division, but they are now within striking distance of moving up to second in the standings.
The Jackets will take plenty of confidence from their momentum, winning seven of their last ten games. Last time out, their offensive players stole the show after recording a comfortable 5-3 win over the Philadelphia Flyers.

It could pay to follow the trend of recent form in the NHL this Friday. Columbus have excelled in their most recent outings, and their attacking quality was evident in the win over the Flyers earlier this week. Another dominant showing is expected at the United Center against a struggling rival.
