Senators Aiming for Successive Wins
The Ottawa Senators will still have playoff aspirations this term, but they come into this round of games sitting at the foot of the Atlantic Division.
Ottawa have a winning 24-21-7 record in 2025-26, but they have lost four times in regulation in their previous ten. But, positives would have been taken from their win over the Vegas Golden Knights earlier this week, landing a stunning 7-1 success to end a two-game losing run.
Ottawa have excelled in home games this season, going 12-10-4, while Tim Stutzle leads the team with 53 points and 23 goals.
Avalanche to Flex Offensive Muscle
There’s little doubt that the Colorado Avalanche have been the outstanding team in the Western Conference so far this season.
They sit top of the overall standings, and they lead the Central Division by nine points. Colorado have gone 4-4-2 across their last ten, with their latest win coming on the road against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Brock Nelson was the standout star in the success, netting three goals from four shots. It should also be noted that the Avalanche have excelled on the road this term, going 15-4-5.
