The St. Louis Blues have gone 2-2-0 at the start of the new NHL season.
However, there will be pressure on Jim Montgomery's side to respond this weekend after shipping eight goals in a heavy home loss against the Chicago Blackhawks on Wednesday.
Despite sharing four goals in the opening period, the Blues would then concede three goals in each of the second and third periods. Dylan Holloway was among the scorers in the heavy loss.
The Dallas Stars have been one of the eye-catching teams in the Central Division at the start of the new season.
They come into this weekend after winning each of their last three. Meanwhile, their latest success was a dominant showing against the Minnesota Wild, which resulted in a 5-2 win.
The goals were spread around in that success, with Roope Hintz, Esa Lindell, and Wyatt Johnston among the players to score.
